The 2018–2020 biennial report provides an overview of CCRC’s work and outlines the necessity of continued research and support for community colleges. Guided by five core values—rigorous research, actionable knowledge, collaboration, equity, and optimism—CCRC has invested in understanding the breadth of the community college student experience and how outcomes of community college students could be improved. This report highlights researchers’ voices as they describe their fieldwork, analyses, and findings, offering an on-the-ground perspective on CCRC’s areas of study including multiple measures assessment, workforce development, and guided pathways. The biennial report also offers a financial snapshot of CCRC and describes how the organization has engaged the field and connected with a diverse audience in the last year. Ultimately, it makes the case for devoting further attention and high-quality research to the success of students at America’s open access, public two-year colleges.
