Dual enrollment is growing across the nation and college and K-12 leaders are working to improve these programs to fully realize their potential as an on-ramp to college and career opportunity. A recent CCRC webinar, Redesigning Dual Enrollment to Support What Students Want, explored student experiences in dual enrollment: What do dual enrollment students want? What are their priorities? And how can programs be better implemented to support their aspirations and build momentum for success after high school?
CCRC researcher Aurely Garcia Tulloch shared the latest data on national dual enrollment trends and key findings from a research brief on dual enrollment student experiences based on interviews with 97 dual enrollment students in Florida and Texas. In a panel discussion, six current and former dual enrollment students from CCRC’s Dual Enrollment Student Advisory Panel, representing five states, shared their perspectives on improving access to and student experiences in dual enrollment.
