Millions of high school students are taking dual enrollment courses each year to get a jump start on college and career success. Yet persistent gaps in access and a lack of intentional course sequencing have limited the benefits of dual enrollment for the students who could use it most. Efforts to redesign dual enrollment as a more purposeful and accessible opportunity are underway. But what do dual enrollment students think about their programs?
This webinar explored findings from the CCRC research brief What Do Dual Enrollment Students Want?, and highlighted students’ perspectives, presenting research-based strategies colleges can use to support their dual enrollment students. Current and former dual enrollment students from CCRC’s Dual Enrollment Student Advisory Panel shared their experiences. A Q&A with the student panelists followed.
