September 2015–December 2017
CCRC is partnering with Public Agenda and the Aspen Institute to promote the widespread adoption of high-impact strategies for improving degree completion among students who start in community colleges seeking bachelor’s degrees.
The project has the following goals:
- to build urgency for improving transfer outcomes using evidence to make the policy and business case;
- to publish and disseminate evidence-based tools for improving practice; and
- to implement a multiyear plan to change practice and policy in the field.
The main products are a playbook, a self-assessment tool, a leadership curriculum module, a communications plan, and a state and sectoral engagement plan.
In partnership with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), the John N. Gardner Institute, and Achieving the Dream, our organizations are designing workshops for two- and four-year institutional practitioners on improving transfer practices. We are collaborating with AASCU and Achieving the Dream as well as state agencies or associations in selected states to offer these workshops.
This project is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
