CCRC conducts research on programs and policies designed to prepare high school students for college, including short-term readiness programs as well as college-credit transition programs and vocational pathways.

Colleges and school districts have embraced dual enrollment as a strategy for improving college outcomes for students, including underprepared and disadvantaged students. CCRC studies how these programs, as well as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs, impact college enrollment, persistence, and performance.

A number of federal and state policies are designed to create seamless vocational pathways from high school through college and into the workforce. How can these pathways be implemented and enhanced to increase student success?
