The Guided Pathways Next Frontiers: Scale of Adoption Assessment is a free tool designed to help community colleges assess the extent to which they have implemented at scale key practices in the five frontiers described in More Essential Than Ever: Community College Pathways to Educational and Career Success. These practices are designed to strengthen pathways to good jobs and further education, improve teaching and learning, create more engaging program onboarding, help students complete programs on schedule and affordably, and create on-ramps to college and career opportunity for high school dual enrollment students.
College leadership teams can use the self-assessment to identify areas of strength and priorities for improvement and to formatively evaluate progress over time. CCRC recommends that the assessment be completed collaboratively by individuals responsible for leading student success efforts at the college. This resource is a working tool that will improve through use and feedback from practitioners.
A companion Indicators of Adoption at Scale Guide identifies the practices measured by the assessment and provides recommended indicators for determining whether each practice has been adopted at scale.
