This project examined pathways to success for underserved community college students, tracking the experience and outcomes of low-income students, students of color, students who enrolled in college at an older age, and those who attended part-time. Using longitudinal student record data from the community college systems in Florida and Washington State, CCRC identified points at which students drop out; course-taking patterns associated with higher rates of degree completion; and institutional characteristics, policies, and practices associated with student success. CCRC also examined the effect of employment on college attendance and outcomes, as well as the labor market outcomes associated with a community college education for underserved students.
