April 2004–April 2007
CCRC conducted a study of the implementation of the International Baccalaureate’s (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) at six middle schools around the country. MYP is a whole-school reform that emphasizes interdisciplinary connections, critical thinking, global awareness, and project-based learning. CCRC aimed to evaluate the progress made in initiating the program, assist the schools in developing systems of data collection and analysis to track students’ progress, and follow students’ progress through MYP and establish a framework for analyzing their performance in the IB Diploma Programme once they reach high school.
This project was funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
