June 2003–April 2004
In the summer of 2003, CCRC undertook a national survey of community college involvement in adult education for the Council for the Advancement of Adult Literacy. The report that came out of this project is based on information from several sources, including interviews with officials in 35 states and an analysis of state and national adult education data. The report looks at the structure of adult education in the United States with a focus on the role of community colleges. Findings show that community colleges serve as many as a third of all adult education students.
This project was funded by the Council for the Advancement of Adult Literacy.
