Although the Workforce Investment Act has reached the implementation stage, questions about its impact on community colleges remain. This article discusses the fact that while interesting and creative work in line with the new vocationalism has been initiated on behalf of low-income clients, it is still unclear how well community colleges will meet client needs within the framework of the legislation.
