Moving beyond dual enrollment as ‘programs of privilege’ or ‘random acts’ also requires strategic investments and not just ‘an office of one’. This session debuted a new report from CCRC on how colleges across the country are creating sustainable business models to scale purposeful dual enrollment programs aimed to expanding access to college and career opportunity. Drawing on case studies from states with higher, medium, and lower public support for DE, presenters highlighted strategies for financially sustainable investments in advising and student supports, high-quality instruction and support, and expanded outreach and access—without passing costs on to students.
