Haleh Azimi

Senior Research Assistant

Haleh Azimi is a part-time senior research assistant at CCRC, where she conducts qualitative research on community college and developmental education reform. Azimi is a practitioner at heart, with over 19 years in the field of education, 11 of which come from working in the community college setting. She works full-time at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), where she is the co-director of the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) and an associate professor of academic literacy. Azimi conducts external consultations to help other community colleges implement corequisite programs, such as ALP, at their institutions. Azimi is committed to her work with ALP and developmental education reform and develops and leads initiatives to further student success efforts, specifically for marginalized populations.

She holds a BS in English writing from Towson University, an MAT in secondary education English, and an EdD in educational leadership and management with a policy concentration from Drexel University.
