Over the past decade, colleges and systems nationwide have scaled corequisite courses to replace traditional developmental education, with mixed approaches and varied results. This webinar brought together panelists from Arkansas, Louisiana, and the City University of New York (CUNY) to reflect on what it takes to implement corequisite reforms within different governance contexts, how different stakeholders have experienced these changes, and what supports have proven critical for adoption and scaling.
Panelists shared stories and data from their institutions and systems, highlight ongoing challenges, and discussed how they are using continuous improvement to move beyond first-generation corequisite models. Together, they explored what Coreq 2.0 looks like and identified lessons for states and colleges considering their next steps for reform.
