With dual enrollment (DE) offerings expanding rapidly across the country, how can state, system, and college leaders best utilize DE in concert with related college and career high school coursework to increase college attainment and affordability for students?
In this session, panelists discussed how states can increase the educational and economic returns of DE programs as they continue to expand nationally. CCRC shared national and state-by-state level findings on the postsecondary outcomes of DE students, followed by new research examining the postsecondary and labor-market trajectories of students who took DE courses alone or in combination with related college and career coursework. In a panel discussion, policy and practice leaders engaged with the findings and share insights for state, system, and college leaders aiming to leverage DE programs to achieve postsecondary attainment and workforce development goals.
