
Nyokabi Gikiri is a research assistant at CCRC whose work centers on adult STEM learners and adult ESL learners. Gikiri is also completing her master’s degree in applied linguistics at Teachers College. Equal access to education and accessibility within the education system are her main passions.
Before joining CCRC, Gikiri earned her bachelor’s degree in linguistics from New York University. Additionally, she has several years of experience tutoring students from diverse backgrounds, including English language learners. This experience ultimately sparked her professional interest in the intersection of linguistics and education.
