
Narju Nawar is a research intern at CCRC, where she supports the dual enrollment research team as well as the communications team. She is currently an undergraduate student at The City College of New York, pursuing a bachelor of science in education with a double major in English and a minor in psychology. At City College, she is an S Jay Levy Fellow, furthering her interests in educational research and professional development.
Alongside her work at CCRC, Narju serves as a tutor at The Organization of Psychoeducational Tutoring (OPT), an education nonprofit. Her work focuses on helping young children build key literacy and psychological skills while tracking their academic growth and progress. She previously worked as a reading fellow at the Research Foundation of the City University of New York, where she applied research-backed pedagogical methods to literacy instruction. Through her experiences in both teaching and research, she has developed a strong interest in pedagogy, literacy, and child development, which she hopes to continue exploring through future research.
