
Naomi Long is a research intern at CCRC, where she supports research on advising and first-generation college students. A first-generation college student herself, Long is a senior at The George Washington University studying political science and a graduate of Brookdale Community College. At GW, she is a Presidential Scholar and the president of the Transfer Student Association, where she leads the transfer population in advocacy, community, and integration. Deeply passionate about equity in education access and improving the transfer student experience, Long works to elevate the voices of underserved students on her campus and beyond.
Alongside of her work at CCRC, Long is a government relations intern for the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), where she works to promote accessibility and affordability in higher education by uniting education practitioners and policy makers to promote meaningful and informed change. Long also works as a government relations intern at UNITE for Safe Social Media, a nonprofit dedicated to creating and protecting safeguards for minors online. She previously worked as a legislative intern in the U.S. House of Representatives and as a policy intern for the Greater Washington Partnership, where she worked to promote strong pathways between local higher education institutions and employers to ensure college graduates were prepared to successfully enter the workforce.
