Lindsay Leasor, Research and Development Assistant

Lindsay Leasor is a research and development assistant at CCRC, where she provides research and administrative support to the Center for the Analysis of Postsecondary Readiness (CAPR) and contributes to the iPASS project. Leasor also assists the leadership team in identifying new funding opportunities and preparing grant applications. She began her tenure at CCRC as a graduate research assistant before transitioning to a full-time role in January 2020.

Leasor earned an MA in economics and education with a specialization in postsecondary education and quantitative research methods from Teachers College, Columbia University; her integrative masters project on the wage returns to social skills won a departmental certificate of excellence. Leasor earned a BA in psychology with a minor in English from Georgetown University. As an undergraduate, she interned with the House of Representatives, worked as a deputy editor for the student newspaper, and led service projects as a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

Prior to joining CCRC, Leasor served in the Office of Financial Aid at Columbia University. She conducted needs analyses on applicants’ financial data and counseled undergraduate students and families accordingly. Leasor enjoyed lending practical guidance on navigating higher education finance, informed by her own experience as a need-based aid recipient. She also worked closely with high-need students through the QuestBridge program and designed a biannual personal finance and budgeting workshop for Columbia students.
