Danielle Jarvis, Research Assistant

Danielle Jarvis conducts qualitative research on workforce development, employer engagement, and non-credit programs at community colleges. She is currently studying institutional redesign efforts that integrate job training and traditional degree pathways for low-income, adult learners. Jarvis’ research interests include the efficacy of college access policies and socioeconomic segregation in college enrollment and transfer. She is also interested in institutional redesign to improve outcomes among first-generation students, low-income students, adult learners, and students of color.

Prior to joining CCRC, Jarvis worked in institutional research at Borough of Manhattan Community College, part of the City University of New York. She has also worked with first-generation and low-income high school students in college preparation and transition, most recently through data evaluation and management at a college access non-profit. Danielle is currently pursuing an MA in education policy at Teachers College, specializing in higher education. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley in Media and Information Studies.
