Ariel Deutsch is a project assistant at CCRC where she supports research on workforce development, community college finance, teaching and learning, and English learners. Before joining CCRC, Deutsch worked at a civilian police oversight agency. She also brings experience as a civil rights litigation paralegal. Deutsch is especially interested in the intersection of law, politics, and higher education equity.
Deutsch earned a BA in the College of Social Studies—a multidisciplinary program in government, economics, and history—and Italian from Wesleyan University. At Wesleyan, Deutsch served in student government and coordinated academic supports, including peer tutoring, through the Office of Student Academic Resources.
