Housing adult education English as a second language (AE ESL) programs in community colleges presents unique opportunities and challenges. For example, although AE ESL students in community college-based programs might have access to college-wide student services departments, the resources these departments offer may not be known to AE ESL students or tailored to their particular needs. This presentation shares innovative support practices tailored for AE ESL students and carried out by college-wide student services departments at the City Colleges of Chicago.
