The Advanced Infrastructure, Energy, and Agriculture (AIREA) Data Explorer
By Wei Wang, Joshua Rosenberg, Cameron Sublett, Matias Fresard, and Bret Staudt Willet
The AIREA Data Explorer shows how community colleges are preparing students for critical roles in the economy—including in construction, HVAC, electrical, natural resources, transportation, and other fields—and how those efforts align with labor market needs. Use the Data Explorer to see how AIREA job opportunities in each commuting zone have changed since 2010 and the number and type of AIREA credentials awarded at each of the nation’s community colleges.
AIREA includes both classic green jobs—such as wind turbine technicians, solar photovoltaic installers, and environmental engineering technicians—and related high-opportunity occupations, like electrical line workers, construction managers, precision agriculture technicians, and industrial machinery mechanics. The tool can also be viewed in full screen.
