The ARCC Network hosted a recent webinar on pandemic relief spending trends among community colleges nationally.

Researchers from the Community College Research Center (CCRC) gave an overview of the recent report, An Analysis of Federal Pandemic Relief Funding at Community Colleges, and demonstrated the accompanying Tableau dashboard, which allows users to analyze pandemic relief funds by state, region, and other characteristics.

Findings from the report suggest colleges across the nation successfully spent the unprecedented flood of money, and were particularly successful at getting funds directly to students. Ninety percent of colleges in the study are classified as total or high spenders, having spent all or almost all of their funds. View the webinar to dive deeper into the demographic trends within spending categories.

The analysis is one of a series of publications on federal pandemic recovery funds recently released by CCRC. For further information, view Aftershocks: How the Pandemic Affected Community College Finances and How HEER Funding Rescued Community Colleges From the Pandemic.

A related report on an institutional survey of community college recovery spending in six states will be released in the coming months.
