Madeline Weiss

Madeline Weiss is a Database Programmer for the Community College Research Center at Teacher.  She graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Sociology and is originally from New Jersey.  While she was at Wesleyan, she pursued a research project examining what factors contribute most prominently to the private school effect using international data – that is, what causes the higher achievement outcomes for students who attend private secondary schools compared to public secondary schools? Her other research interests include psychometrics and its role in understanding student performance and, more broadly, mechanisms through which we can successfully reduce education inequality.
