Dr. Gregory S. Kienzl serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP), Washington, DC. He is a scholar in the field of economics and education and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and national reports on a variety of topics involving K-12 and postsecondary education. His main research interests include estimating the economic benefits of postsecondary education, mapping the various educational transitions taken by students in higher education, and examining the impact of local labor markets on the educational achievement of college students. Prior to joining IHEP, Dr. Kienzl was a principal and co-principal investigator on a multi-year project investigating the underrepresentation of women and minorities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
