Corequisite Support in Dual Enrollment: Current and Emerging Practice

Date and Time: October 26, 2021 9:15–10:00 AM EST
Location: Online

For some time, colleges have offered co-requisite courses to students who need extra assistance to successfully complete college-level math and English. Recently, some colleges began providing co-requisite courses to high school students as part of their dual enrollment offerings. This opens the door to college-level courses for students who are not yet fully college ready, giving them the benefits of an early start on postsecondary education.

In this presentation, researchers shared findings from their scan of colleges engaged in this practice, while practitioners described their experiences with initiating co-req courses as part of their dual enrollment offerings.
