Adapting Lesson Study for Community College Mathematics Instruction

Lesson Study is a structured, collaborative professional development intervention that gives instructors a framework for actively investigating how to improve learning in their classrooms. This joint, interactive presentation provided an overview of Lesson Study, offered examples of how one community college is using this approach in its math department, and shared preliminary findings from qualitative research on faculty's initial perceptions and experiences in three colleges.
