Assessment of Evidence Series

May 2009−May 2013

Each paper in this series synthesizes evidence from the existing research literature to draw conclusions on a particular topic and to provide concrete, evidence-based recommendations to practitioners, policymakers, and researchers. The first eight reports (on developmental assessment and placement, mathematics pedagogy, contextualization of basic skills instruction, online learning, non-academic support, institutional and program structure, and organizational improvement) were released in the spring of 2011.

This project is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
