Linsey N. Edwards is a Senior Research Assistant at the Community College Research Center. She joined the CCRC after completing her MA in Sociology of Education from the Steinhardt School at New York University. Linsey has previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education. At the Metro Center, she was involved in a project studying single-sex schools for Black and Latino male students as an intervention strategy. In addition to research, Linsey has also worked in an alternative high school in Brooklyn, New York promoting enrollment in higher education through programming and advising. Linseys research interests include minority student transitions into post-secondary education, student achievement identities, urban education and social policy.
