Developmental Education Toolkit (A Webinar Sponsored by the Bridges to Opportunity Initiative)
The Webinar will discuss ways to improve education-related policies to reduce the number of students that come to college underprepared and to improve the success of these students once they are enrolled in the states' community colleges. The Webinar will be hosted by BYRON MCCLENNEY, Bridges Consultant at the University of Texas at Austin, and will feature THOMAS G. GREENE, PhD., toolkit author and Educational Consultant, and JIM APPLEGATE, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. Together, they will discuss:
--An overview of developmental education data and challenges --Tools for analysis and discussion on college readiness, postsecondary transition, programming, financing and student financial aid, and performance accountability --Current and emerging policy trends in the area of developmental education, and --Communication tools
