For students enrolled in remediation, enrollment in "student life skills" (SLS) is linked to a 10 percent increase in the chances of student persistence


A 2007 CCRC study found that students who enrolled in both remediation and a SLS course were only 2 percent less likely to complete a credential than were students who enrolled in neither.
