Developmental Education Student Placement Practices and Success Factors in Connecticut Community Colleges

CCRC is partnering with the Connecticut Community College System to study the impact of developmental education policies on student success.  As part of this work, CCRC is helping CCCS analyze data on the relationship between student test scores and success in developmental and college-level or "gatekeeper" courses.  CCRC is also developing a guide to promising developmental education practices designed to stimulate discussion among faculty and others within the system on how to improve outcomes of the many students who enter the Connecticut system unprepared for college-level work. Davis Jenkins is directing the project.  Matthew Zeidenberg is leading the data analysis aspect of the work.
